Accounts Payable Manager

About the role

The Accounts Payable Manager will lead end‑to‑end AP operations across multiple business units and legal entities. This senior position ensures timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and reconciliations while driving efficiency through automation and process standardisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full AP cycle, including invoice processing, credit notes, supplier advances, payment proposals and vendor payments.
• Manage vendor account reconciliations and resolve outstanding issues promptly.
• Monitor AP ageing, enforce payment terms and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Reconcile GR/IR accounts, clear open items and coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain and Business Units.
• Coordinate monthly intercompany reconciliations and support month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Partner with Treasury for cash forecasting, liquidity planning and payment scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and audit requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the AP team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive AP transformation initiatives, including automation, digitisation and KPI monitoring.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACMA or equivalent).
• 8–10 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in Accounts Payable, Shared Services or Finance Operations.
• Strong knowledge of withholding tax, VAT/sales tax and related regulations.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands‑on expertise in Accounts Payable processes.
• Proficiency in intercompany reconciliations and GR/IR management.
• Solid understanding of tax compliance (withholding tax, VAT).
