Area Manager - Commercial Banking

About the role

Bank of Khyber is recruiting an Area Manager for its Mardan branch. The post covers business development, team leadership and performance management, customer relationship management, and reporting and data analytics. The grade is VP to SVP.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales, business development and profitability for the assigned area by meeting deposit, asset and cross-sell targets in line with the Bank's strategic goals.
• Ensure budgeted financial metrics on product, business line revenue and profitability are met.
• Develop the marketing and sales force (BDOs, RMs, BMs) and allocate and monitor business targets; build a high-performance sales culture and motivate staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth and key corporate clients, and ensure superior customer service across all branches in the area.
• Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date recruitment database and talent pool.
• Prepare and present regular MIS reports on hiring status, time-to-hire, cost-per-hire and source effectiveness to the Head HR, and prepare hiring dashboards and analytics for management review.

Required profile

• Graduation; a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Banking or another relevant field from an HEC-recognized university or a reputable foreign university is preferred.
• 15 years of overall commercial banking experience, including 5 years as Area Manager or above in a commercial bank.
• Islamic banking experience is an added advantage.
