Assistant Director (Pesticide Analysis)

About the role

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is recruiting on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA), which is being set up to strengthen Pakistan's agri-trade ecosystem through better regulation, facilitation and modernisation of food safety and trade processes. The selected person will join NAFSA's foundational team and work on-site in Karachi.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of analytical testing plans for pesticide formulation, residue and quality testing.
• Help ensure validated methods and QA/QC procedures are followed and documented.
• Review test results and laboratory documentation and help prepare analytical reports under supervision.
• Coordinate sample receipt, testing schedules and reporting with relevant units.
• Support laboratory safety, equipment upkeep and records management.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the reporting officer.

Required profile

• B.Sc. (Hons.) or Bachelor's degree (minimum sixteen years) in Chemistry (Analytical/Organic) or Agricultural Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant laboratory or analytical experience in pesticide testing and QA/QC.
• Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail.
