Assistant Director (Pesticide Studies)

About the role

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is recruiting on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA), which is being set up to strengthen Pakistan's agri-trade ecosystem through stronger regulatory oversight, facilitation and modernisation of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will join NAFSA's foundational team, helping build its systems, processes and institutional capabilities. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor pesticide studies and trials, and verify compliance with approved protocols.
• Compile study data and technical summaries for supervisory review and regulatory use.
• Support post-registration monitoring and regulatory reviews based on study outputs.
• Maintain study documentation, tracking logs and evidence files for regulatory defensibility.
• Coordinate with research institutions and trial sites on scheduling, follow-up and reporting.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the reporting officer in support of NAFSA's mandate.

Required profile

• B.Sc. (Hons.) (minimum sixteen years) in Agriculture (Plant Protection, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Weed Science), Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in studies/trials coordination or regulatory support.
• Strong documentation and coordination skills.
