Assistant Manager, Marketing & Sales

About the role

Get Books is a book marketplace and publishing platform moving beyond its early MVP stage, with real vendors, libraries and institutions joining it and its first franchise store opening at NSTP, NUST. It needs an Assistant Manager, Marketing and Sales to take its marketing and sales from founder-run and ad hoc to a properly planned, measurable function. The role is full-time and on-site in Islamabad.

Key responsibilities

• Run vendor and seller growth campaigns, reaching out to authors, publishers and independent bookstores to grow the seller base, using the existing CRM waitlist and festival-survey leads
• Manage the subscriber base (525+ via Omnisend), grow it through organic and paid channels and turn subscribers into active buyers
• Own the social media presence (including the LinkedIn company page), website content and marketing collateral for the online marketplace and physical stores
• Plan launch campaigns for the NSTP flagship store and future franchises, and represent Get Books at book festivals and events
• Keep the vendor and customer pipeline organised and reportable, working closely with the Operations team

Required profile

• 1-3 years in marketing, sales or business development; startup or e-commerce experience is a strong plus
• Comfortable owning both strategy and execution in a hands-on role
• Strong written communication in English and Urdu
• Interest in books, publishing or education is a bonus
• Able to work across digital marketing, on-ground events and B2B outreach

What we offer

• Pay of Rs 50,000-70,000 per month during a 3-month probation, rising to Rs 90,000-1,20,000 per month on successful completion
