Assistant Manager – Operations (Clearing & Forwarding)

About the role

The Clearing & Forwarding division is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations. You will act as a liaison between the company, shipping lines, and clients, ensuring smooth handling of import and export documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review CRO, DO, and Bill of Lading drafts.
• Communicate with shipping lines via email to coordinate shipments and resolve documentation issues.
• Follow up with clients on shipment status and required paperwork.
• Assist in managing container bookings and clearance processes.
• Coordinate import/export documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Support the team with routine administrative tasks related to forwarding operations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or related operations.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with clients and shipping agents.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Effective email communication with international shipping partners.
• Familiarity with WEBOC/PSW ID systems (preferred).
• Ability to draft and edit shipping documents accurately.
