Associate Manager Internal Audit

About the role

The Associate Manager Internal Audit executes risk-based audit and investigation assignments delegated by Internal Audit Management. The role evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls, identifies and assesses risks, reviews compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and provides recommendations to strengthen governance, risk management and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based audits and investigations according to the approved audit plan, including risk assessment, scoping, control testing and evaluation of operational, financial and compliance processes.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify improvement opportunities and support the development of policies, procedures and control frameworks.
• Perform investigations, special reviews and other assignments delegated by Internal Audit Management.
• Analyse financial data, business processes and systems to identify risks and recommend practical solutions.
• Prepare audit reports, presentations and management updates, and monitor the implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve audit findings and strengthen controls.
• Take part in process improvement, system implementation and compliance projects.
• Maintain audit documentation and workpapers in line with professional standards and company policies.
• Coach and guide junior team members and stay up to date on industry regulations, emerging risks and audit best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of internal audit experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or a related industry.
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical operations, including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, procurement, inventory, projects and R&D.
• Strong analytical, investigative, report-writing and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Audit methodologies, risk assessment, internal controls and compliance frameworks.
• Ideal advantage: familiarity with IIA Standards, COSO Framework and SAP modules (FICO, MM, HCM, PM, PS).
