Associate Software Engineer - OpenStack

About the role

Devsinc is looking for a motivated Associate Software Engineer with knowledge of OpenStack and a solid foundation in software development. The ideal candidate has basic programming knowledge in Python and/or the MERN stack and is eager to learn and grow. At least 1 year of industry experience is preferred, but fresh graduates with relevant OpenStack knowledge are also encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing and maintaining software applications and related solutions.
• Contribute to development tasks using Python and/or MERN stack technologies.
• Work with the engineering team on OpenStack-related tasks and cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Help troubleshoot technical issues and take part in debugging.
• Write clean, readable and maintainable code following development best practices.
• Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks and learn new technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Mandatory knowledge of OpenStack.
• At least 1 year of industry experience preferred; fresh graduates are welcome if they meet the OpenStack requirement.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, basic problem-solving and analytical abilities, willingness to learn and adapt, proactive attitude and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of programming fundamentals and software development concepts.
• Knowledge of Python and/or MERN stack technologies.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms.
• Basic familiarity with databases and software development practices.
• Basic understanding of Linux, networking or cloud computing concepts is an advantage.
• Preferred: hands-on OpenStack experience, cloud infrastructure, Linux, networking or virtualization, and additional Python or MERN experience.
