Audit Associate

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Audit Associate to join our Internal Audit team in Islamabad. The position is ideal for candidates who have recently completed their articleship and want to gain hands‑on experience in risk‑based audits, control assessments and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of internal audits following a risk‑based audit framework.
• Perform process walkthroughs, document business processes and key controls.
• Evaluate internal controls across financial, operational and compliance areas.
• Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies and compliance gaps.
• Conduct data analysis and testing, including work with large data sets when required.
• Prepare structured audit working papers with clear documentation and references.
• Assist in drafting audit findings, risk impact statements and actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather information, clarify processes and track responses.

Required profile

• Completed articleship from a reputable audit firm.
• Up to one year of post‑articleship experience in audit or a related role (preferred but not mandatory).
• CA Inter qualification (mandatory); ACCA or CIA preferred.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and internal audit methodologies.
• Solid grasp of internal controls and risk assessment principles.
• High analytical ability with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
