AWS Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer (L1/L2) – MSP (24x7)

About the role

We are looking for an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer (L1/L2) to join our Managed Services team. The role provides 24x7 operational support for multiple client environments on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor AWS resources using CloudWatch, Datadog and other tools, respond to alerts and incidents in a rotating shift model.
• Perform initial triage, execute runbooks and resolve basic issues with EC2, EBS, ELB/ALB, RDS, IAM and networking.
• Escalate complex problems to L2/L3 teams with detailed documentation and maintain incident records in ServiceNow/Jira.
• Conduct deep‑dive troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and provide work‑arounds for service degradations.
• Support and configure AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53 and Lambda.
• Assist with performance tuning, scaling and post‑deployment validation.
• Automate routine tasks using Shell, Python scripts and AWS CLI.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve runbooks.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience supporting AWS infrastructure in L1/L2 roles.
• Ability to work 24 × 7 rotational shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in a production environment.
• Good communication skills for incident reporting and escalation.

Required skills

• AWS core services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53, Lambda.
• Monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Datadog, Nagios.
• Linux/Unix system administration.
• Scripting: Shell, Python, AWS CLI.
• ITSM tools: ServiceNow, Jira.
• Networking concepts: DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing.
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate certification is desirable.
