AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on AWS DevOps Engineer with 4‑6 years of experience to design, build and maintain our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The role involves working across infrastructure, containers and application layers to ensure reliable delivery of backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild.
• Manage infrastructure as code with AWS CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Build, deploy and debug Docker containers on Amazon ECS (Fargate).
• Operate and monitor services built with Flask APIs, workers and scheduled tasks.
• Monitor system health using CloudWatch, Sentry and alerting tools.
• Troubleshoot issues across APIs, databases, queues and infrastructure.
• Maintain MySQL databases on RDS, including schema changes.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks and operational procedures.
• Collaborate via Git workflows, including pull‑requests and code reviews.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of professional software, DevOps or cloud engineering experience.
• Strong ownership mindset and willingness to take responsibility.
• Ability to troubleshoot across API, database, container and infrastructure layers.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments and using command‑line tools.

Required skills

• Python scripting and production code.
• REST APIs and HTTP.
• SQL with MySQL (queries, joins, indexes).
• Git workflows (branching, pull‑requests, merge conflicts).
• AWS services: EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, Secrets Manager.
• AWS CodeBuild and CodePipeline.
• Docker (Dockerfile creation, container debugging).
• AWS CDK (CLI and deployments) and Infrastructure as Code.
• CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Linux command‑line tools.
