Azure Data Engineer – PowerBI & Data Orchestration

About the role

We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer who will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and reporting solutions using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Power BI. The role bridges business requirements with technical implementation to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable data services.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements, providing data‑centric input.
• Design, develop, and optimise Azure Data Factory pipelines and dataflows.
• Implement security and authorization frameworks, including Row‑Level Security.
• Create visualisations and traditional reports in Power BI.
• Adapt solutions as project scope evolves and ensure data governance.

Required profile

• Expert knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Power BI.
• Advanced experience with Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, and Logic Apps.
• Strong understanding of data security, governance, and RLS.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Stream Analytics, master data management, data warehousing and BI architecture.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of data engineering or software development experience.
