Canada Tax Accountant – Accounting Manager

About the role

Bestax Accountants is seeking an experienced Canada Tax Accountant to join its Lahore office. You will work closely with the Toronto team, providing tax compliance, advisory, and financial reporting services to Canadian clients across various industries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) Canadian tax returns.
• Assist with GST/HST, payroll tax, and other statutory filings.
• Provide tax planning and advisory to minimise liabilities for businesses and individuals.
• Stay current with CRA regulations and tax law updates.
• Analyse financial statements to ensure accurate tax calculations.
• Manage tax audits, notices, and communications with the CRA on behalf of clients.
• Utilise QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, TaxCycle and other tax preparation software.
• Support bookkeeping and financial reporting for Canadian clients.
• Collaborate with the Toronto‑based accounting team to meet client expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 + years of experience in Canadian taxation and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, CRA regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with T1, T2, GST/HST, and payroll tax filings.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, TaxCycle or similar software.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Leadership experience overseeing accountants and ensuring quality standards.
