Chief Financial Officer - Restaurant Group

About the role

An established restaurant and food group in Islamabad is looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance function and work alongside the CEO and the Board. The CFO owns budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, tax, audit and compliance across all outlets, tracks food cost, labour cost and wastage, manages cash flow, evaluates expansion and investment opportunities, strengthens inventory and procurement controls and leads the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and the restaurant industry's needs.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis to support business decisions.
• Prepare accurate, timely financial reports and statements in line with regulatory standards.
• Monitor cash flow, optimise financial resources and manage capital investment to improve profitability.
• Set up and maintain internal controls, risk management frameworks and financial policies.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of financial professionals.
• Work with operational leaders to review financial performance and find growth opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, restaurant accounting standards and tax requirements.
• Drive cost management and process efficiency, support external audits and liaise with regulators.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in a restaurant, hospitality or food-related group.
