CS Core Planning Assistant Engineer

About the role

A leading Chinese technology company is seeking a CS Core Planning Assistant Engineer to support network monitoring, design and integration activities for its CS core network in Islamabad.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor utilization and growth trends across CS core network elements.
• Understand and work with high‑level and low‑level designs for MSC, STP, SVC and HLR.
• Coordinate with vendors (Huawei, Nokia, ZTE, Ericsson) and internal teams to evaluate proposals and recommend solutions.
• Support project integration, commissioning, implementation and acceptance of new nodes.
• Ensure network safety and compliance with standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in CS core network, including call flows and scenarios per 3GPP, GSMA, IEEE, ETSI.
• Ability to communicate technical solutions to junior‑level customers.

Required skills

• Network monitoring and design for CS core (MSC, STP, SVC, HLR).
• Troubleshooting with tracing tools and Wireshark.
• Knowledge of CS nodes (VMSC, GMSC, OSS, HSS, SBC) and protocols (SCCP, BSSAP, RANAP, SS7/SIGTRAN/M3UA/MTP3).
• Familiarity with basic communication and data communication concepts.
