Data Architect - Microsoft Azure Data Services, DataLake, Databricks

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with over 10 years of experience designing, developing, and managing modern data platforms, data pipelines, and cloud‑based analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines on Azure.
• Build and optimise batch and real‑time ingestion frameworks from diverse data sources.
• Implement data lake, warehouse, and lakehouse architectures for analytics workloads.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes using cloud‑native practices.
• Ensure data quality through transformation, cleansing, validation, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and application teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Optimise storage, processing, and query performance across enterprise platforms.
• Implement security, monitoring, and compliance best practices in Azure environments.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, warehousing, and enterprise platform development.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL).
• Proven experience building large‑scale ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Deep knowledge of dimensional modelling, lakehouse concepts, and data governance.
• Experience supporting AI/ML and advanced analytics workloads.
