Data Governance Technical Lead

About the role

Liztek is seeking a Data Governance Technical Lead to drive the design, implementation and maintenance of data governance frameworks across its platforms and client environments. Based in Lahore, you will work on‑site with engineering, product, compliance and business teams to ensure data ownership, quality, lineage and access controls meet regulatory and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce data governance policies, standards and procedures.
• Analyze data flows, establish metadata cataloging practices and monitor data quality.
• Oversee data lineage documentation and implement access‑control mechanisms.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into scalable solutions.
• Mentor and guide technical teams on governance best practices and AI‑driven controls.
• Contribute to solution architecture for governance and compliance automation.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities to resolve data and system issues.
• Experience providing technical support in complex IT environments, preferably with data platforms or governance tools.
• Background in IT, Computer Science or related field with a bachelor’s degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Proven experience in data governance, data quality, policies, lineage, cataloging and access control.
• Knowledge of financial‑services regulatory frameworks such as AML, KYC or privacy regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams or initiatives and manage multiple projects.
