Director, Sourcing APP/A&G - Pakistan

About the role

Adidas is looking for a Director for its Sourcing APP/A&G business in Pakistan. The role is a key position in Sourcing, responsible for leading the overall sourcing business, operations and functions across designated groups of factories or operation centres, and for managing the relationship between adidas Group and the partner factories so that apparel and A&G objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing business, operations and functions in designated factory groups or operation centres, executing global sourcing strategies.
• Lead the Development & Commercialization and Production teams in partner groups, ensuring they meet their responsibilities and company standards, with support from functional heads such as development, material, costing, quality, SEA and ME&I.
• Own all KPI performance and use the SPIKE framework to drive partner performance.
• Build close working relationships with partner senior leadership and functional leads, resolve issues quickly and engage them in company strategy.
• Represent operations internally and externally, and contribute to the supplier allocation process.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and adidas workplace standards, including freedom of association.
• Develop and coach team members, build succession plans and foster a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Streamline processes through continuous improvement and keep the organization flexible to changing business needs.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, materials or a related area, or equivalent expert work experience.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant business experience and 5 years of people management experience.
• Wide experience of quality management concepts in manufacturing of consumer goods.

Required skills

• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Leadership of multidimensional teams, with strong conceptual thinking, presentation, negotiation, influence and communication skills.
