Doctor - Community Health Clinics (Islamabad)

About the role

Hope Care Welfare Foundation (HCWF), a non-profit welfare organization focused on healthcare and community support in Pakistan, is hiring a Doctor for its clinics and outreach programs in Islamabad and surrounding areas. This is a full-time hybrid position: regular on-site presence in Islamabad for patient care, with some administrative and telehealth duties done from home.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary and specialized medical care to patients, including taking histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications and performing minor procedures as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
• Take part in community health camps, health education initiatives and preventive care programs.
• Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals, social workers and volunteers.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities, mentor junior staff and support accessible, ethical and compassionate care for underserved populations.

Required profile

• Licensed medical doctor (MBBS or equivalent), registered with the relevant medical council in Pakistan; house job and clinical experience in primary care or internal medicine preferred.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and follow-up, including management of common acute and chronic conditions.
• Ability to work in community and low-resource settings, including outreach clinics, health camps and humanitarian relief activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, working respectfully and culturally sensitively with patients, families and teams.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality and local clinical guidelines.
• Comfort with basic medical documentation, electronic or paper records and systematic reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage time and caseload, and adapt to a hybrid model.
• Experience with public health, preventive medicine or NGO healthcare programs is an advantage; additional training in family medicine, pediatrics or internal medicine is beneficial.
