Driver Recruitment Specialist – Lahore

About the role

The Driver Recruitment Specialist will lead the acquisition of professional drivers for The TAQ Organization in Lahore. Reporting to senior management, the role oversees the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to onboarding, while ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 40 recruitment professionals focused on driver hiring.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified drivers.
• Screen, interview, and conduct comprehensive background checks on driver candidates.
• Verify driver licences, certifications and regulatory compliance.
• Utilise Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HR Information Systems (HRIS) and workflow automation tools to maintain recruitment data.
• Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for newly hired drivers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of transportation industry regulations and compliance standards.
• Build and nurture a professional network within the driver and transportation communities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align recruitment efforts with workforce needs.
• Monitor recruitment metrics, prepare reports and provide training to team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large recruitment teams.
• Strong knowledge of compliance management and regulatory guidelines for commercial drivers.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies.
• Familiarity with onboarding processes and driver qualification verification.
