About the role

Overjet is looking for a hands‑on Tech Lead / Engineering Manager to head the Insurance Verification pod within its Revenue Cycle Management organization. The role combines active coding with people‑management, overseeing a small team of engineers based in Pakistan to deliver high‑throughput eligibility‑check systems for dental practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship core features for the Insurance Verification product while tackling complex technical challenges.
• Lead and grow a pod of 3–6 engineers: conduct 1:1s, provide feedback, and support career development.
• Define architecture and technical roadmap, balancing short‑term delivery with long‑term maintainability.
• Break down product roadmap into sprint‑ready work, manage execution, and ensure delivery against SLAs for verification throughput and accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with Product, adjacent RCM pods and the AI team to translate requirements into technical plans and integrate shared data pipelines.
• Champion engineering quality through code reviews, testing discipline, monitoring, on‑call rotation and incident response.
• Report progress, risks and trade‑offs to engineering and product leadership.

Required profile

• Passion for writing code and staying hands‑on in a production environment.
• Experience managing and coaching a small engineering team (3–6 members).
• Ability to translate product requirements into clear technical plans.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑functional partnership and leadership reporting.
