Expert Mergers and Acquisitions

About the role

The Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst will support the development and execution of strategic investment opportunities across VEON markets, focusing on TMT, fintech and digital sectors. Based in Pakistan, the role offers global exposure and collaboration with cross‑functional teams and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of the M&A pipeline across VEON markets.
• Perform financial analysis and valuation, including DCF, comparable‑company and precedent‑transaction analysis.
• Prepare executive‑level materials and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross‑functional due diligence workstreams and external advisors.
• Support transaction execution and track post‑transaction KPIs against the original deal rationale.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA, ACCA, CFA or CA preferred.
• 4‑6+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity or related fields.
• Strong analytical, structuring and problem‑solving skills with high ownership mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Experience with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv and Factiva.
• Financial modelling and valuation capabilities (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).
