Finance Manager – Mining Industry

About the role

Euro Africa Travel seeks a Finance Manager for its mining division to oversee all financial aspects, ensuring sound fiscal management and compliance with mining-specific regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee comprehensive financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with mining industry standards.
• Develop, manage, and monitor budgeting and forecasting processes tailored to mining operations.
• Implement and monitor cost control measures to optimize expenditure and enhance profitability in mining projects.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis comparing actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Manage and maintain cost accounting systems specific to mining activities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant mining regulatory frameworks and taxation regulations.
• Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead and mentor a team of five finance professionals.
• Collaborate with operational and executive teams to align financial strategies with company goals.
• Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in finance roles, preferably within the mining sector.
• Proven ability to lead a finance team of around five members.
• Strong understanding of mining regulatory and taxation requirements.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
