Finance Trainee Officer

About the role

Join IDEMIA as a Finance Trainee Officer and support the core accounting processes that keep the business running smoothly. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate booking, compliance, and reporting of both payable and receivable transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Verify invoices against purchase orders, confirm receipt of goods/services, and post entries for accounts payable.
• Reconcile AP ledgers, identify discrepancies, and ensure timely payments.
• Generate and post customer invoices, reconcile customer ledgers, and assist with statements of account.
• Prepare aging reports for AP and AR (DSO, DPO) and support tax schedule preparation for VAT and corporate income tax.
• Identify and record general ledger transactions related to AP/AR, collaborating with the GL accountant.
• Work with internal stakeholders such as Purchasing, Customer Service, Controlling, HR, and Tax to resolve issues.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or current student in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to interact with various internal teams.
• Ability to work under supervision and learn quickly.

Required skills

• Understanding of invoice verification and posting processes.
• Basic knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows.
• Familiarity with general ledger concepts.
• Exposure to tax documentation for VAT and corporate tax.
