Financial Accountant – Tax & Financial Reporting Specialist

About the role

Shamrock Accounting, Tax and Payroll is seeking a Financial Accountant who will specialise in tax and financial reporting for UK and Irish clients. Based in Gujranwala, you will work onsite to ensure the accuracy, integrity and compliance of client financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general‑ledger accounts in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes, recording all transactions accurately and on time.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, verifying invoices and processing payments.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts for UK and Irish clients.
• Perform detailed balance‑sheet and GL reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and support broader tax compliance (Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Withholding Tax).
• Liaise directly with clients on accounting, taxation, payroll and reporting matters.
• Collaborate with the Country Manager on audit and compliance queries.
• Draft professional correspondence and maintain confidentiality of all financial information.
• Stay updated on changes to accounting standards and tax legislation in the UK and Ireland.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in UK and Irish tax regimes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple client expectations.
• Professional, proactive attitude and commitment to continuous development.
