Financial Controller – Tax & Accounting

About the role

We are seeking a highly driven Financial Controller to lead end‑to‑end accounting and tax functions for Kavak Dubai from an off‑site base in Lahore. The role combines rigorous financial reporting, UAE tax compliance and transfer‑pricing coordination while acting as a trusted finance partner for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations and coordinate transfer pricing activities with external tax advisors.
• Support statutory audits, internal audits and tax assessments as the primary finance point of contact.
• Own and manage full‑spectrum accounting for Kavak Dubai, maintaining accurate and timely financial records.
• Maintain separate books of accounts for each function to ensure clarity, auditability and compliance.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, including general‑ledger reviews, accruals and adjustments.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance‑sheet schedules and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate closely with commercial, operations and regional finance teams as well as external auditors and tax consultants.
• Uphold strong financial controls, documentation and process discipline across accounting operations.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounting, controllership or finance.
• ACCA or CA qualification (mandatory).
• Prior experience supporting international or regional operations.
• Excellent spoken communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, large datasets, analysis).
• Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books / Zoho Finance modules.
