Financial Controller – Tax & Accounting

About the role

KAVAK is seeking a highly driven Financial Controller to lead end‑to‑end accounting and tax functions for its Dubai entity while working remotely from Lahore. The role requires ownership of financial records, compliance with UAE tax regulations, and close collaboration with both on‑shore Dubai teams and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations and coordinate transfer pricing activities with external tax advisors.
• Own full‑spectrum accounting for Kavak Dubai, maintaining accurate and timely financial records.
• Maintain separate books of accounts for each business function to ensure clarity and auditability.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including general ledger reviews, accruals, and adjustments.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance‑sheet schedules, and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (commercial, operations, regional finance) and external stakeholders (auditors, tax consultants).
• Uphold strong financial controls, documentation, and process discipline across accounting operations.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in accounting, controllership, or finance roles.
• ACCA or CA qualification (mandatory).
• Prior experience supporting international or regional operations, preferably with exposure to transfer pricing, statutory audits, and tax compliance.
• Excellent spoken communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books/Finance modules.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, large data sets, and detailed reconciliations.
