Freelance Education Counsellor (Remote)

About the role

Emigraxpert Consultant is a Lahore-based education consultancy helping students explore study opportunities abroad, covering foundation and diploma programmes through bachelor's, master's and PhD degrees in Europe, Asia, the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia. It is looking for a freelance, remote-friendly education counsellor to guide prospective students through an informed and organised admissions journey.

Key responsibilities

• Understand each student's academic background, goals, preferred destination and budget, then recommend suitable study pathways and institutions.
• Explain admission requirements, application timelines, scholarship possibilities and required documentation clearly and accurately.
• Assist students with application preparation and follow up on outstanding documents and key milestones.
• Give general guidance on visa documentation and pre-departure preparation, referring complex or regulated matters to a specialist.
• Maintain organised, confidential student records and keep progress updates consistent.
• Build trusted relationships with students and families while representing the consultancy professionally.
• Manage enquiries, give attentive one-to-one guidance and coordinate with the consultancy team.

Required profile

• Strong student counselling, active listening and needs-assessment skills.
• Ability to research international universities, programmes, entry requirements and application deadlines.
• Working knowledge of overseas admissions processes and common destinations such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and Asia.
• Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain complex requirements simply.
• Attention to detail, effective follow-up, time management and organisation across several student cases.
• Professional discretion with personal and academic information.
• Comfort using email, online meeting tools, spreadsheets and digital document-sharing platforms.
• Self-motivated and reliable in a freelance, remote arrangement.
