Online IGCSE, AS Level & A Level Geography Tutor

About the role

Tutoronics is an online tutoring platform that connects students with qualified tutors for personalised academic support. It is looking for knowledgeable Geography tutors to teach students following international curricula, including IGCSE, AS Level and A Level, on a telecommute basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, interactive online Geography lessons.
• Explain geographical concepts, processes and theories clearly, using examples, maps, diagrams and case studies.
• Cover topics such as physical geography, human geography, population, urban environments, climate, weather, rivers, coasts, tectonic processes, ecosystems and global development according to the assigned curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, revision notes, case studies and past-paper practice aligned with the relevant exam board.
• Help students develop map-reading, data interpretation, analytical and evaluation skills.
• Support exam preparation and geographical fieldwork concepts where applicable.
• Assess student progress, give constructive feedback and adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Teach via Google Meet, Zoom, digital whiteboards and screen-sharing tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of online tutoring experience.
• Strong subject knowledge in Geography and experience teaching IGCSE, AS Level and/or A Level students.
• Familiarity with international curricula and exam boards such as Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel.
• Excellent English communication and explanation skills.
• A relevant degree in Geography, Environmental Science or a related field is preferred.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable environment for online teaching.

Required skills

• Ability to explain geographical processes, interpret maps and data and use case studies effectively.
• Proficiency in Google Meet, Zoom, digital whiteboards and screen sharing.
