Full Stack Engineer - Traffic Studies Backend

About the role

A client's traffic studies backend powers work from field deployment to a published report. The engineer owns the system, automates routine steps and designs for configurability so ad-hoc requests (new city, new sensor, new metric, shorter timelines) are handled with small extensions rather than rewrites, while ensuring traceability and timeliness to cities. The role is on-site in Lahore or Islamabad.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end study pipeline from ingestion to city portal publication.
• Automate routine steps such as stats entry, reprocessing and report assembly so each study runs consistently with minimal human intervention.
• Enable ad-hoc requests through configuration and small extensions (new sensors, metrics or formats).
• Keep the data model scalable with proper indexing and query performance, and maintain monitoring and alerting for pipeline health.
• Trace figures back to raw data and coordinate with annotation and field ops to meet delivery dates, giving capacity and lead-time estimates to go-to-market.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering with full-stack ownership.
• Experience building and operating services on AWS (ECS/EC2, S3, IAM) and running production systems.
• Experience building internal tools and dashboards, and orchestrating batch or compute-heavy workloads.
• Based in Lahore or Islamabad and available on-site.
• Preferred: experience with computer-vision or sensor pipelines, data-quality or annotation workflows, IoT or edge devices, and startup or small-team ownership.
