Head of Business Unit – Pharmaceutical

About the role

Pulse Pharmaceutical is seeking an experienced Head of Business Unit to lead its Lahore operations. The role focuses on driving growth, overseeing trading and marketing activities, and ensuring the unit meets strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 25 professionals to achieve business targets.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans that boost growth and profitability.
• Oversee trading activities, market analysis, and the creation of trading strategies.
• Maintain and deepen client relationships through continuous communication.
• Direct sales and marketing efforts in line with the company’s overall strategy.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to uncover new opportunities.
• Prepare and control the unit’s budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Monitor KPIs and report progress to senior management.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
• Identify risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, trading, marketing, and sales within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams of 20+ members.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret market trends and develop strategies.
• Excellent communication and client‑relationship skills.
• Demonstrated capability in budget management and resource allocation.
