Head of Human Resources

About the role

The Head of Human Resources will lead the entire HR function, aligning people strategies with the organization’s business objectives and ensuring robust governance across all HR activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the HR team, manage task distribution, train new members and design role accountability mechanisms.
• Develop and execute HR strategic plans, succession pipelines, and long‑term sustainability initiatives.
• Conduct monthly ManCom meetings, prepare agendas, presentations and minutes.
• Plan and monitor the annual HR budget in partnership with Finance, covering training, salaries, engagement and ERP costs.
• Oversee the full performance management cycle, salary revisions and inflation impact analysis.
• Drive group‑level recruitment, workforce planning, offer negotiations and senior onboarding programs.
• Lead HRMS/ERP deployment as the power user, manage system rights and upgrades.
• Perform market salary benchmarking and benefits surveys to inform grading and compensation structures.
• Manage health‑insurance renewal, OPD claim reviews and employee‑relations matters, including grievance handling and disciplinary investigations.
• Develop, approve and maintain SOPs, authority matrices and compliance policies.

Required profile

• MBA or MPA in Human Resources or related field; SHRM or CHRP certification preferred.
• 8‑10 years of HR generalist experience, including 2‑3 years in a senior leadership role within shipping, logistics or freight forwarding.
• Proven ability to improve HR processes, drive employee engagement and support business growth.

Required skills

• HRMS / ERP modules implementation and administration.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills for HR analytics and budgeting.
• In‑depth knowledge of labor and employment legislation.
