Head of Treasury

About the role

Simpaisa is looking for a strategic Head of Treasury to lead its multi‑currency payment ecosystem. The role combines liquidity management, FX risk mitigation, and treasury compliance within a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a treasury strategy aligned with the multi‑currency payment business model.
• Establish frameworks for liquidity, risk management, and currency exposure.
• Lead strategic projects such as building global banking infrastructure partnerships.
• Oversee daily cash management across multiple currencies and optimize working capital.
• Create advanced cash‑forecasting models for precise fund allocation.
• Identify and mitigate foreign‑exchange risks and implement hedging strategies.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, payment processors, and financial institutions, negotiating fees, FX rates, and credit facilities.
• Streamline banking structures for operational efficiency and scalability.
• Drive treasury automation, improve payment processing workflows, and oversee reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate with technology teams to design and deploy Treasury Management Systems (TMS).
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high‑performing treasury team.

Required profile

• 10+ years of treasury management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record managing multi‑currency transactions and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or technology‑driven financial services.
• Deep knowledge of treasury operations, FX risk management, and global payment systems.
• Strong understanding of treasury compliance regulations.
