Import / Export Officer (Female)

About the role

The Import/Export Officer manages the flow of goods and oversees shipping logistics, both inbound and outbound. The role works closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers and government agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and the efficient movement of merchandise. It is an on-site, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all import/export operations in line with regulations and company policies.
• Prepare documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, shipping instructions and certificates of origin.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents and customs authorities to ensure timely transport.
• Monitor shipments and keep internal teams and external parties informed so deadlines are met.
• Handle discrepancies and issues that arise during import/export.
• Maintain knowledge of international trade laws and tariffs for accurate documentation.
• Work with other departments to align logistics with business objectives.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with transport and logistics providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in international business, logistics, supply chain management or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in import/export or international logistics.
• Proven project management skills.
• Fluency in English; other languages are an advantage.
