Junior Accountant

About the role

DgTx is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join its finance team in Karachi. You will support daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain general ledgers.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Prepare basic financial reports and support senior accountants with bookkeeping tasks.
• Assist in the preparation of VAT and corporate tax documentation and audit support.
• Organize financial records and collaborate with colleagues to resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, double‑entry bookkeeping, and reconciliations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0–2 years of internship or work experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud‑based accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
