Junior Purchaser – Furniture Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Purchaser to support our furniture manufacturing operations in Lahore. The role ensures that material requirements from the storekeeper and production team are met on time, coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to secure the right items at the right price.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase demands from the Storekeeper and Production Team.
• Understand required quantity, specifications, quality, and timeline of materials.
• Source hardware, raw materials, consumables and other factory requirements.
• Identify and communicate with suitable suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain quotations and compare price, quality, availability, and delivery time.
• Negotiate prices and purchase terms with suppliers.
• Place orders and ensure timely delivery of required materials.
• Regularly follow up with suppliers on pending orders.
• Coordinate with the Storekeeper to verify received materials.
• Maintain records of quotations, purchases, suppliers, and pending orders.
• Develop and maintain a reliable supplier network.
• Search for alternative suppliers when required.
• Report purchasing delays, quality issues, price changes, or supplier problems to management.
• Coordinate with Store, Production, Accounts, and Management.
• Follow and adapt to the company's purchasing procedures and systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or relevant educational background (preferred).
• 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field (preferred).
• Good communication and negotiation abilities.
• Strong follow‑up and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and meet deadlines.
• Honest, organized, proactive, and responsible attitude.
• Willingness to visit markets and suppliers when needed.
• Ability to learn and adapt to company systems and procedures.
