L2/L3 Cloud Implementation Engineer (Azure, Citrix, Microsoft 365)

About the role

XTIUM is looking for an L2/L3 Cloud Implementation Engineer to deliver and support Microsoft, Citrix, Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions for its customers. You will take escalations from the L1/L2 service desk, resolve complex incidents and carry out hands-on implementation, migration and optimisation projects, working closely with L3 architects and customer technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Azure: deploy and support IaaS and PaaS resources, hybrid connectivity (Site-to-Site VPN, Azure Firewall, DNS), Azure Monitor, Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy and RBAC, and Azure Virtual Desktop host pools and images.
• Citrix: implement and support CVAD and DaaS, build and maintain master images, profile management and WEM, and configure and troubleshoot Citrix ADC (NetScaler).
• Infrastructure: support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and PKI; maintain file services and patching via WSUS, Intune and Azure Update Manager.
• Service delivery: own L2 incident, problem and change tickets in line with SLAs (ServiceNow), write technical documentation such as runbooks and handover notes, escalate to L3 and vendor support, mentor L1 colleagues and take part in on-call and out-of-hours maintenance windows.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years in an L2 or implementation engineering role in a managed services or enterprise environment.
• Strong 2nd/3rd line troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting Windows devices and Microsoft environments, and good understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routers).
• Experience with device management, deployment and IT service management systems, and with IT project contribution.
• Desirable: experience in a multi-customer MSP environment.

Required skills

• Hands-on Azure and Microsoft 365 administration, with strong Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy and Windows Server skills.
• Practical Citrix CVAD/DaaS experience and working knowledge of Citrix ADC/NetScaler (CLI and GUI).
• PowerShell scripting and automation; good networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, TLS/PKI, VPN, firewalls, load balancing).
• Desirable: Microsoft and Citrix certifications, ITIL Foundation, and experience with Bicep, Terraform and ARM.
