Lead Solar Installer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Solar Installer to manage end‑to‑end solar installation projects across the country. The role combines hands‑on installation work with crew leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments, layout planning and mounting structure installation.
• Oversee panel placement, wiring, system testing and commissioning.
• Lead, train and assign tasks to installation crews, monitoring work quality.
• Enforce safety standards, PPE usage and compliance with electrical and building codes.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and procurement to align materials, tools and schedules.
• Troubleshoot installation or performance issues and maintain detailed records.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in the solar industry, preferably in a supervisory or lead installer capacity.
• Diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, renewable energy or a related technical field (preferred).
• Proven leadership and crew‑supervision skills.
• Physical stamina for working at heights, rooftops and outdoor conditions.
• Effective communication and ability to collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of solar power systems and installation standards.
• Operation of power tools and hand tools safely.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, structural plans and installation manuals.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices, PPE requirements and relevant electrical/building codes.
• Solar system commissioning, maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
