Learning Specialist, 2 Hour Learning (Remote)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is a remote, full-time (40 hours per week) position working with its AI-powered personalized learning platform, Alpha Anywhere. The Learning Specialist turns AI-generated performance data into timely interventions that help learners reach 90% mastery, runs live coaching calls to clear blockers, and designs AI/LLM workflows. The role is paid $30 USD per hour ($60,000 USD per year at 40 hours per week and 50 weeks), with weekly payments, and requires an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as Contractor of Record.

Key responsibilities

• Build accurate academic data reports and analyse them systematically to surface issues, flag anomalies and trigger fixes within 48 hours.
• Host rapid-response "rescue" calls and run post-assessment coaching sessions to resolve blockers and keep students motivated.
• Evaluate and implement new educational apps and content, and design AI/LLM prototypes to improve learning strategies.
• Work with leadership to refine tools, dashboards and mastery thresholds as the AI tutor evolves.

Required profile

• At least 1 year in a role involving coaching, training or instruction.
• At least 1 year supporting K-8 students one-to-one or in small groups on learning habits, motivation, self-direction, test behaviour or executive function; whole-class teaching alone is not enough.
• At least 1 year combining hands-on data analysis with direct student support.
• At least 6 months using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot in professional workflows.
• Available 6 hours, Monday to Friday, between 6:00 AM and 1:00 PM U.S. Central Time.

Required skills

• Google Sheets or Excel for data analysis (lookups, filters, pivot tables, charts).
• Nice to have: background in learning science, experience with generative AI prompting, and basic coding (Python, JavaScript) for querying AI APIs.
