Maintenance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Officer to keep our production equipment running safely and reliably at GSK Pakistan. You will work closely with Production, Quality, Stores and contractors, ensuring equipment uptime while supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities for compression, coating, blistering, filling and packaging machines.
• Prepare, review and update maintenance documentation, SOPs, preventive maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Coordinate approval of maintenance‑related documents and ensure compliance with site quality systems.
• Support equipment qualification, validation, commissioning and change‑control activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Validation and Engineering teams to execute maintenance projects.
• Record and close maintenance tasks through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures, conduct root‑cause investigations and implement CAPA.
• Maintain accurate GMP‑compliant maintenance records.
• Assist with trials, engineering projects, equipment installation and commissioning as required.

Required profile

• DAE or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 4–8 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical GMP requirements and engineering compliance is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety, including LOTO and Permit‑to‑Work procedures.
