Manager – Accounts & Taxation (US Client Portfolio)

About the role

Brit Balance – US Chapter is seeking an experienced Manager to lead its US client services function. You will act as the primary adviser for a portfolio of US‑based businesses, ensuring high‑quality compliance, reporting, and advisory outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as lead adviser for a US client portfolio across compliance, reporting, and advisory.
• Prepare and review financial statements and federal/state tax returns (1120, 1065, 1040).
• Oversee payroll processing, sales‑tax compliance, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Monitor IRS, FASB, and state regulatory updates and implement changes proactively.
• Mentor, review, and ensure quality of junior and mid‑level team members.

Required profile

• ACCA/CA finalist or qualified professional in good standing.
• 5+ years of senior‑level experience in a US‑facing accounting practice.
• Hands‑on, full‑cycle bookkeeping experience.
• Ability to own priorities and make independent decisions.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, multi‑state tax, IRS compliance, and payroll rules.
