Manager, Community Engagement & Improvement Initiatives

About the role

The Manager, Community Engagement and Improvement Initiatives leads community mobilization and engagement as part of the Community Improvement Plan (CIP) and ensures the effective functioning of Community Learning and Engagement Centers (CELCs). The role covers programme operations, data management, research, holistic community development and financial management, with strong stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support CELC initiatives and coordinate with field teams for community-based activities under the Community Coordination Council (CCC)
• Oversee field operations, including the establishment and functioning of Community Learning Centers
• Drive stakeholder coordination, including school programmes and head office teams
• Set up systems for timely data collection, validation and reporting, analyze community and programme data, monitor performance metrics and document impact and success stories
• Conduct community needs assessments, support research on engagement models and learning approaches, and use findings to inform programme design
• Promote integrated community development through education, awareness and capacity building, and build partnerships for sustainable interventions
• Manage programme budgets and oversee procurement planning and execution for CELCs and the CCC

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or Business Administration
• 5-6 years of experience in programme management, operations, coordination, communication and data management and analysis
