Manager – Financial Reporting

About the role

The Manager – Financial Reporting will lead the financial reporting function of a microfinance bank, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant preparation of statutory and management financial information. This role oversees the preparation of financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, month‑end and year‑end closing activities, and reporting in line with IFRS/IAS, regulatory and State Bank of Pakistan requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS/IAS, regulatory requirements and SBP guidelines.
• Prepare management financial statements and reporting packs for senior management.
• Oversee and review general‑ledger reconciliations for major balance‑sheet and income‑statement accounts, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Demonstrate hands‑on experience with Oracle and/or SAP financial systems, ensuring data integrity from core banking and subsidiary systems.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive process improvements in reporting and reconciliations.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, and adjustments.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of banking products and accounting principles.
• Hands‑on experience with financial systems such as Oracle and SAP.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and provide clear explanations of financial results.
