Medical Manager

About the role

AstraZeneca is hiring a Medical Manager in Karachi. The role acts as a regional expert supporting the marketing team to develop brand material within a specific therapy area, ensuring scientific and medical accuracy of communications and working closely with senior practitioners to shape the marketing direction of a brand in the local market.

Key responsibilities

• Support the marketing team in developing brand material within a specific therapy area.
• Ensure scientific and medical accuracy of outgoing materials, research papers and other reports, and may hold sign-off authority.
• Develop and refine processes for approving branding materials, either as an expert or project manager.
• Help establish and implement policies, procedures and objectives for medical and scientific accuracy of brand materials.
• Work with senior practitioners to define the marketing direction of a brand in the local market.
• Keep knowledge of best practices and new developments up to date.
• Support or lead medical research initiatives, including real-world data generation and local clinical projects, in line with compliance and scientific standards.
• Hold signatory responsibility for necessary material.

Required profile

• Qualified doctor.
• Some knowledge or experience of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in marketing.
• Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales and marketing.

Desirable

• Advanced scientific degree.
• Project management and change management experience.
• Experience creating information or marketing materials on basic and complex drugs.
