Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst

About the role

JazzWorld, Pakistan's fastest-growing digital ecosystem covering connectivity, financial services, entertainment, lifestyle, enterprise and software services, is hiring an M&A Analyst based in Pakistan. Reporting to VEON HQ, the role supports the development and execution of strategic investment opportunities across markets, contributing to financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and transaction execution. It works with teams and external advisors across functions and geographies, with exposure to TMT, fintech and digital sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the M&A pipeline across VEON markets
• Perform financial analysis and valuation, including DCF, comparable-company and precedent-transaction analysis
• Prepare executive-level materials and presentations for internal stakeholders
• Build a knowledge bank of TMT, fintech and digital transactions and peer benchmarks
• Coordinate cross-functional due diligence workstreams and external advisors
• Support transaction execution, including preparation and review of key deal documentation
• Track post-transaction KPIs against the original deal rationale

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an MBA Finance/Accounting and/or ACCA/CFA/CA is an advantage
• 4-6+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development/M&A, private equity, venture capital or a related field
• Proven experience supporting transactions, including screening, financial modelling and due diligence coordination
• Strong analytical, structuring and problem-solving skills, and clear written and verbal communication
• Ability to work across functions and geographies with a high ownership mindset

Required skills

• Financial modelling and valuation (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions)
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv and Factiva
• Understanding of legal documentation and key commercial terms
