About the role
The Multi-Purpose Health Worker (MPHW) supports survivors of rape and sexual assault by providing medical assistance, coordinating referrals, and maintaining essential health records at the Bharosa Centre.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Medical Officer and provide first‑aid and prescribed medical care to victims.
- Maintain the pharmacy, medical and nursing utilities, and update the Medical Case Register and victim’s medical history.
- Accompany victims to designated hospitals for forensic evidence collection and medical examinations.
- Facilitate admission processes, track cases in referral hospitals, and follow up on ongoing treatment.
- Arrange MTP/abortion services at authorized hospitals when required.
- Support delivery of victims on a need‑basis.
Required profile
- Experience assisting medical officers and providing basic clinical care.
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and manage pharmacy supplies.
