Node.js & NestJS Developer

About the role

The Software Engineer will build full‑stack features for the Simplex Suite platform, a restaurant technology ecosystem that includes ecommerce sites, mobile apps, order and delivery management, and analytics. You will work on both backend services in Node.js/NestJS and frontend components in Next.js/React, under the mentorship of a Senior Software Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js, NestJS, MySQL and PostgreSQL within a micro‑services architecture.
• Design clean relational schemas, perform safe migrations, and write performant queries.
• Build responsive, accessible frontend features with Next.js, React and TypeScript, integrating securely with backend APIs.
• Apply security‑first engineering practices: manage secrets, protect endpoints, prevent XSS, and ensure full interaction logging.
• Write automated unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and follow Git/CI‑CD workflows.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and QA to deliver sprint commitments and surface blockers early.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently while seeking mentorship and feedback.
• Experience delivering end‑to‑end features in an agile environment.
