Online IGCSE, AS Level & A Level Accounting Tutor

About the role

Tutornics is an online tutoring platform connecting students with qualified tutors for personalised, flexible learning, offering one-on-one and group classes, learning materials and online access. It is looking for an Accounting Tutor to support students preparing for IGCSE, AS Level and A Level exams, working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach online Accounting lessons aligned with IGCSE, AS Level and A Level syllabi.
• Explain accounting principles, terminology and procedures, including financial statements, bookkeeping and analysis.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to each student's needs, progress and goals.
• Guide students through practice exercises, past-paper questions and exam techniques.
• Assess understanding, give constructive feedback and track progress over time.
• Maintain a professional, supportive online classroom and share lesson progress.

Required profile

• Strong command of accounting concepts and the IGCSE, AS Level and A Level curricula.
• Experience preparing learners for structured assessments, including past papers and mark schemes.
• Confident online teaching and presentation skills for one-on-one or small-group lessons.
• Clear verbal communication, patience and a supportive approach to learners.
• Reliable lesson preparation, time management and follow-through on student progress and feedback.

Required skills

• Teaching bookkeeping, double-entry accounting, financial statements, adjustments and exam topics.
• Ability to assess student understanding, identify learning gaps and tailor explanations and practice.
• Comfort using video-conferencing and digital learning tools to deliver interactive classes.
