Online IGCSE, AS Level & A Level History Tutor (Edexcel IAL)

About the role

Tutoronics is an online tutoring platform connecting students with qualified tutors. It is looking for an experienced History tutor to work remotely and part-time, providing specialised support to a Year 13 student following the Pearson Edexcel International A Level (IAL) History curriculum. Candidates must have previously taught the specified Edexcel History units.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, structured online History lessons tailored to the student's needs
• Teach the British Raj (WHI02) and Russia in Revolution (WHI01) units
• Explain historical events, causes, consequences, interpretations and developments clearly
• Help the student develop source analysis, essay writing and evaluation skills
• Prepare revision materials and exam-style practice questions aligned with the Edexcel IAL syllabus
• Provide exam preparation strategies and constructive feedback
• Monitor student progress and address areas needing improvement

Required profile

• At least 2 years of online tutoring experience
• Proven experience teaching Pearson Edexcel IAL History
• Previous teaching of WHI02 (The British Raj) and WHI01 (Russia in Revolution) strongly required
• Strong knowledge of the syllabus, examination structure and marking criteria
• Excellent English communication skills and fluency in spoken English
• A relevant degree in History or a related field is preferred

Required skills

• Experience with online teaching platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom
• Use of digital whiteboards, screen sharing and other online teaching tools
