Online Math Tutor

About the role

Ibatutoring is a student-founded tutoring center that aims to make education more accessible, inclusive and affordable for learners from diverse backgrounds. It is looking for an Online Math Tutor to give individualized and small-group math tutoring to students across various grade levels and curricula. The role is part-time and on-site, based in Pakistan, working from the tutoring center while conducting online sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons and explain mathematical concepts clearly.
• Guide problem-solving and offer homework and exam preparation support.
• Assess learner progress, give constructive feedback and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and levels.
• Maintain professional communication with students and the center, and keep records of sessions.
• Collaborate with other tutors to improve learning materials and approaches.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in mathematics, able to teach core school and college-level topics clearly and accurately.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in tutoring, teaching or academic support, preferably in math-focused roles.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, patience, empathy and a learner-centered approach.
• Current student or graduate in Mathematics, Engineering, Education or a related field is preferred; prior experience with peer tutoring or student-led initiatives is an advantage.

Required skills

• Basic digital literacy, including online teaching platforms, document sharing tools and virtual whiteboards.
• Organizational skills for planning sessions, tracking student progress and managing time across multiple learners.
